I am humbled by the generosity shown by our entire community during the 2019–2020 school year. When faced with a series of unimaginable events, parents, alumni families, teachers, staff, grandparents and friends all came together to show their care and concern for one another.
At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic Oakwood’s administration and Parent Organization partnered to create the Better Together Community Fund as a way to help families, faculty and staff who needed basic necessities. We also launched the Emergency Financial Assistance Fund and in a matter of weeks, were able to raise an incredible $137,000 for both of these critical funds! Thanks to over 300 generous donors, including one individual who pledged a $25,000 matching gift, Oakwood has been able to help those who have suffered devastating financial setbacks.
Our community admirably stepped up again at the end of the school year to answer our call to action for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program support. We raised an impressive $50,000 in 20 days which underscored our community’s commitment to this important work.
We are deeply grateful to our enormously generous donors and volunteers for their role in our fundraising success. Together, we surpassed our Annual Fund goal of $2.3 million and raised $467,000 in net proceeds at the amazing 2020 Special Event. You are our partners, ambassadors and fellow stewards of our incredible school and we could not do it without you.
We are deeply grateful to our enormously generous donors and volunteers for their role in our fundraising success.
Everything you will see on the site—our lists celebrating contributors, groups of leadership volunteers and of course the joyful images and videos of our children and teachers—center around YOU. Your selfless contributions of time, talent and resource make the magic of an Oakwood education possible and these are the visual stories of your donations in action.
We hope you enjoy clicking through and viewing all that your generosity made possible. Thank you for your partnership and leadership. Oakwood truly would not be the same without our incomparable and caring Oakwood community.
With my enduring gratitude,
